Pricing, Availability and Who Turns Up
What does a job cost, and is there a call out fee?
The call out and assessment cost you $0, and before any tool comes off the van you receive one fixed written price covering the complete job. If the price does not suit, you owe nothing.
When are you available?
A licensed plumber answers the phone 24/7, every day of the year, including public holidays. Prefer a callback instead of holding? Leave your details and we ring you back fast.
Who actually arrives, and are they qualified?
The person at your door is a licensed plumber working under licence #275278C, fully insured, from a van stocked with the parts the local housing stock most commonly needs.

Drains on This Ridge
Why do drains in the older streets block again and again?
The pre-war Federation homes were laid with earthenware clay drains, and a century of ground movement has left those joints prone to cracking. Add the mature eucalypts lining the bushland streets and you have roots finding every fracture. Clearing alone buys time; the lasting fix is a camera inspection and a repaired or relined line. See blocked drains for how we break that cycle.
Can you diagnose a drain without digging up the yard?
Usually, yes. A CCTV camera travels the run and shows precisely where roots entered or where the clay has failed, which means you approve a repair based on footage rather than a guess. When a line is structurally sound but root-invaded, pipe relining can seal it from inside without excavation.
Does the slope of the land really affect drainage?
It shapes everything. The suburb sits on a sandstone ridge at roughly 188m, carved into deep valleys, so many properties shed runoff across steep falls toward the gullies. Poorly graded stormwater silt and blocks under exactly those conditions, which is why our stormwater work grades falls and sizes pipes to the catchment from the start.

Hot Water
Why do so many hot water systems around here fail together?
The post-war brick housing went up within the same couple of decades, so a huge batch of electric storage tanks aged out at the same time. Same-day replacement is now one of our most common jobs. If yours has gone cold, hot water repair covers the fixable faults, and hot water replacement covers the units genuinely at end of life. Both carry a fixed price before work starts.
Gas, electric or instant: how do I choose?
It comes down to what the property can support and how your household actually uses hot water. We compare the options honestly on the system pages, then size from real usage rather than catalogue guesswork. The gas, electric and instant pages each break down one option in full.

Emergencies, Warranties and Where We Work
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Burst pipes, an overflowing toilet, a gas smell, a hot water system leaking through a ceiling, a sewer backing up into the house. If water or gas is going somewhere it should not be, treat it as urgent and call. Take the make-safe steps on the emergency plumbing hub while you wait, then ring through. What to do at 2am is written out there step by step.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every job is backed by our Lifetime Labour Warranty. If something is not right, we return and put it right, no questions and no cost.
Do you work outside the suburb itself?
Yes. We service Waitara, Asquith, Mount Colah, Normanhurst and Hornsby Heights, each with its own local page, because the faults a steep bushland block develops are not the same ones an apartment near the rail corridor does.
Where can I read more about the team?
The about page covers how we work and the standards behind the warranty, and contact has the direct line and callback form.
Still Have a Question?
If your question is not here, the fastest answer is a phone call to a licensed plumber rather than a search box. Ring (02) 9072 0520 any hour, describe what is happening, and you will get a straight assessment, a fixed written price and a job backed for life.
